Preliminary review of Cabonne Council’s rating structure in light of demographic and industrial change since the council’s formation.

    • Assessment of rating system suitability under contemporary conditions
    • 20 recommendations spanning equity, governance and financial sustainability
    • Demonstrated that the Lithgow methodology can be applied as a repeatable local government advisory service

Association of Mining and Energy Related Councils NSW (MERC)

Executive and policy advisory for the peak body representing NSW councils affected by mining and power generation.

    • Strategy and positioning review covering value proposition, membership and policy roadmap
    • Executive Officer and policy director mandate with banking and Public Officer authority
    • Advocacy and submissions on royalties, benefit sharing, social impact criteria and local government revenues
    • Coordination of a substantial policy agenda on post-mining land use and renewable energy impacts
